I am on the road here in New England, and it is always amazing at how friendly the florists really are.
I am driving around with lot's of different flowers, to show what our capabilities really are.
Greens like the Aralia, and the Pittosporum, the Aspidestra and the Globularia.Flowers like the cangroo paw in diffrent
shapes and sizes, and of course the desert yearning and the flower that is really sensational the desert pea.
You learn alot about people, their habits, about how people like to do business, what keeps people going and so on.
Here is a potpourri of remarks and things I picked up on the way.
I was asking Al at Flor-Al's why is it that florists are getting called by all the wholesalers all the time
"only the cranky wheel get's oiled"
Charlie Wheeler from Pierce the florist has a whole book of saying's.
Holly from Maryniski's Florist not only runs the shop, she has the whole family there her husband runs the
greenhouses, her parents and in-laws run the delivery and do the bookkeeping, but by far the most important are the teenage
kids that are giving a hand. and to Holly everyone is "Dear"
Bernie from Edinboro flower has a greenhouse as old as Massachusetts
Bob from Mix flowers has kind words to everyone
Cheryl from hillside florist is a walking dynamite
Bob from Taylor florist had the best idea- he was on holiday in florida
Nancy from Bedford Florist has "step into our garden" on her business card.
And this one I really liked
From Maureen at the Flower Stop
"If you are grouchy, irratable,or just plain mean, there will be a $10 charge for putting up with you."

Stopped in Paris for a quick visit, and found out that today is Grandmother day.
Yellow is the color that was being sold out on the stands.
I stood for half an hour, and I was amazed at how many young kids stopped and shopped.
The way they do this in Paris is really great. In these shops the flowers are put outside on a very large
display.
The customers chose whatever they want, go inside the shop, where a well trained, staff member, makes it into a nice
bouquets.
Really good system..I will get the pictures into this blog, when I get the chance...In the meantime happy grandmother
day
